I think these are very good pics- verging on great...they have a very strong sense of composition. I also like that you tried to photograph different kinds of things in nature. Something impt, to try is photographing at different times of the day - different kinds of light. Photography can be defined as "painting with light". SO, if you photograph the seem thing early in the am or just before dark when the sun is setting and creating shadows, glowing, or creating a silhouette something ordinary can look extraordinary because of the light! Your report on Eliot Porter was exactly waht I was lookin for - great job! He is one of my faves and I did not know these specific things...yes the light in his b+w image is what makes it sooo spectacular. You REALLY do have an eye and a voice for photography. I hope you can continue with it, and I would LOVE to have you in class again - perhaps at CPFA's building next year?! Have a great summer and keep blogging - I check it every week or 2 in the summer...take care.
